We're building a new healthcare system
for the age of abundant intelligence.

Healthcare in America is broken.

Insurance premiums rise 15% year over year, more physicians are burnt out than ever before, and patients have lost trust in the system. Yet, at the same time, new medicines from genetic engineering to immunotherapy to synthetic proteins have the potential to radically increase the quality adjusted life years (QALYs) we all get to experience.

A health insurance system that was originally built to pay for catastrophe, intervene after the damage is done, has been retrofitted into an unwieldy beast responsible for delivering the healthy future we all deserve. This core contradiction is responsible for the biggest misalignments in healthcare. We decide what to pay for based on a vague notion of “medical necessity” instead of what can buy us QALYs so we don't die. Preventive and proactive care is unavailable because churn leads to insurance payers being short-term thinkers. And we decide how much to pay for it based on medical loss ratios so that the only way we can increase profits is by raising premiums and inducing cost disease.

Some believe the solution is to strip health insurance back to its roots of being catastrophic coverage only and to force individuals to pay for their day-to-day health needs. While partially correct, we view this as morally wrong. Luckily, incentives also make this a bad choice. Society and government is heavily incentivized to increase the health of the population; even for those who cannot pay or who lack the health literacy to want to pay. Employers, the payers for half of Americans, want a healthy, and happy workforce to increase productivity and to win the talent war. And Americans want to be able to access the best healthcare in the world without regard to status or creed.

We have a different vision. Health insurance that pays for catastrophes and pays for personalized, measurable health gains year over year. A payer that is aligned with delivering outcomes and savings, not fees and percentages. An insurer that can predict risk on an individual level and acts to reduce it. A provider that is superintelligent, and utilizes abundant intelligence and abundant patient data to deliver healthcare in seconds.

Medical superintelligence and AGI is coming. It is the largest health creation opportunity in the history of medicine. We are building the last healthcare company. The one that encompasses every part of healthcare. The entire healthcare system — how risk gets priced, how care gets delivered, how humans age, how disease gets anticipated before it arrives — will be redesigned from scratch.

Our team has been conducting AI research since 2014 - from CNNs to RNNs to transformers. Is embedding LLMs into prior authorization software the best use of soon-to-be general intelligence on a cluster in Abilene? We do not believe so. We sit at the intersection of all three things this moment requires: the technical depth to build Crystal and Time Machine as frontier AI, the clinical fluency to understand how healthcare actually works and to enter the room, and the ambition to own and direct $6T of healthcare spending to ensure Americans don't die.
